Canadians for Ethical Treatment of Food Animals
Canadians for the Ethical Treatment of Food Animals (CETFA) is an investigative and educational organization established to examine intensive farming practices, with particular attention to abusive practices; hazards to human health; environmental impacts; and the role of power politics in maintaining the system while withholding public access to factual information. CEFTA addresses these interconnected issues through investigation, education and advocacy of the compassionate treatment of farmed animals.
National Farmers Union
NFU members believe that the problems facing farmers are common problems, and that farmers producing diverse products must work together to advance effective solutions. The NFU works toward the development of economic and social policies that will maintain the family farm as the primary food-producing unit in Canada.
BC SPCA
The BC SPCA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals
EcoCert Canada
EcoCert Canada is an accredited Organic Certification Body certifying to the Canadian Organic Standards (COR). Inspections are carried out on a yearly basis and encompass all aspects of the farming operation.
